Back to DaVE & Noemi's Garage -- Phase II

Floor paint! Tuesday, CC Commercial Coatings started work
on our floor. The day was nice enough that after acid-etching,
the painter was able to put on the first coat. Wednesday,
the paint was done. It looks great, we're thrilled. We
chose a light color ("clay tan") to make it easier to find
dropped little parts, and in the hopes that if the epoxy yellows,
it won't show up as much against the yellowish paint.
I also got started on fishing cables through the conduit to the
house, resulting in yet another trip to the hardware store for
a longer fish tape with a flexible leader. It worked great,
so now we've got RG6 coax cable and two cat-5 wires leading
to the house. As it turns out, that was the easy part; the
real work will be in getting the wire into the house, and then
hooking it up to a as-of-yet not installed patch panel in the house.
Next week, I got the cat-5 and coax terminated at the garage end;
it looks better than anything inside the house! But, that's true for
the entire garage.
Next week: the project may proceed! All we need now is an an electrician, plumber, bricklayer, garage door installer, a few final carpentry details (on the door), touch-up paint, and that's it!
